Once upon a time in a not so far-away place, in
a not so far-away world, lived a little girl by the name of Julie. She is a curious, adventuresome, imaginative child full
of surprises and love. She brings life and happiness to her grandma and to a little town in Covington , Georgia . No, she
doesn't do this through magic or by a spell. She does this with her own determination, instinct and passion for her promises
hopes and dreams.
In her story you come across a mysterious travel chest, a lost fairy tale, an editor with a squirrel
and kindred spirits. You will travel back in time, go to a party and meet me, Cordelia Grimm, great, great granddaughter of
one of the Brothers Grimm.

Janie Lancaster grew up in Middletown, New York.
She now lives in southern California with her husband Don—her blue eyed childhood sweetheart. She has two children and
one granddaughter.
Her first novel, Julie & The Lost Fairy Tale, was first printed as a serial story in newspapers
throughout the United States and Canada. The story was printed through Newspapers in Education programs where children read
newspapers in classrooms.
Janie is a survivor of childhood traumas—traumas that have led her to become a more
insightful writer. The book of Julie was inspired by her memory and deep love for her grandmother as well as by her dreams—dreams
that gave her strength to keep going through the difficult times in her life.
She plans to take her readers through
dreams and fairy tales, abandonment and recovery and on to survival. Her next novel for young people is entitled Emily/Out
of my Mother’s Darkness. This novel is about coming of age in the midst of emotional and physical abandonment.
Janie
has written inspirational poetry that will be included in her true-life story she is now editing entitled When Silence Reigns.
It is a therapeutic how-to book about how her writing gave voice to a silenced child.
At the time of this writing,
she is in the process of editing and getting several of her books edited and ready for publication, so
keep your eye on Star Publish’s first children’s book author and follow her as she pursues her dreams and heads
for the stars.
